Description

These days, individuals and the professionals concerned are increasingly aware of the issues of energy management and renewable energies. Solar energy is a solution gaining ground in France. Home insulation is less well known and seems to be found less attractive despite the many advantages it offers.

Under these circumstances, the EIC (Energy Information Centres) project is designed to make people more aware of the economic and ecological benefits of insulation so that it can be installed in a larger number of homes. In 2008, EIC took part in a huge campaign to inform local residents about insulation. "Insulation evidence workshops" were organized following that campaign.

At the same time, the EIC have been investigating local stakeholders (insulation professionals and distributors of insulating materials), in order to draw up a list that is as comprehensive as possible of operators to hand to individuals. The centres also has "good practice" information sheets covering theory, regulatory requirements and real-life situations.
