In initiating and managing local development activities, GERES strives to adopt a consistently comprehensive approach.
Our profession involves us in:
- study and consultancy missions: diagnostic and technical/economic feasibility studies, preparing development strategies;
- technical and institutional support for individuals, associations, businesses, local authorities, government services, etc.;
- considering the most appropriate technical and organizational solutions to apply;
- capacity-building: training, professionalization;
- applied development research;
- capitalizing on and large-scale dissemination of acquired knowledge and skills
From expertise to programmes supported on a large scale via the various "pilot" phases, GERES takes a long-term perspective. In all programmes, the ultimate goal is systematically to achieve independence and autonomy for the target groups.
