Gas and electricity access is still today very limited. Wood remains the main source of energy, but its utilisation leads to an environmental deterioration and represents a painful task for women. In Belotta, a village situated in the mountain chain called “Rif”, the GERES leads a project in partnership with local actors in order to improve populations living conditions by protecting forest natural resources.
Through energy equipments distribution, GERES-Morocco provides an economic and sustainable solution to populations until then in a situation of energy precariousness.
