After celebrating the dissemination of the New Lao Stove number 2 million in Cambodia, GERES received an honour award during the Clean Cooking Forum, thus confirming its position of model for many organizations working in the same field.
In collaboration with the Global Alliance for Clean Cookstoves, GERES Cambodia is serving as the in-country co-host of the Clean Cooking Forum 2013: Igniting Change, Fueling Markets & Sparking Adoption, to be held in Phnom Penh from March 18-22, 2013. The goal of the Forum is to further a market-based approach to the global adoption of clean cooking solutions, and to continue to drive innovations in research, market development, standards and testing, project finance, and policy development.
On 26 March 2013, the co-operative Enercoop PACA, a member of the national Enercoop network, will be officially set up at the General Meeting to approve formal transformation in Marseille.
As an energy transition tool, Enercoop PACA will enable citizens to regain ownership of the energy issue whilst re-localizing energy production and its economic repercussions.
