Become a corporate partner of GERES

Any company developing and promoting a responsible policy in accordance with the association's values that wishes to get even more involved in favour of sustainable development can co-operate with GERES by becoming a partner.
Several types of partnership are available to institutions wishing to support GERES financially :

  • Affinity products
Your company can raise awareness through its products, brands or services and raise funds by passing on a percentage of the sale price.
For example, a manufacturer of natural cosmetics might undertake to earmark €3 of the price of each natural beauty product sold for the Phava project, which aims to protect the biodiversity of traditional medicinal plants in Burkina Faso.  If 200 products are sold per month, the manufacturer will make a donation of €600 and to be able to reduce his tax by €540 up to the annual limit of 0.5% of turnover excluding tax.

  • Financial support for publications
In order to share its experience, GERES regularly publishes educational and technical papers useful for project developers, associations, experts, institutions, etc. which deal with "energy/environment" topics.

Become a sponsor of GERES

As a company, you have the opportunity to sponsor the work of GERES. You can choose between:

  • Financial sponsorship
This can involve contributions in cash, grants allocated directly in the form of donations.  In this connection, we suggest that you:
    • support GERES as a whole, by contributing to its operation and allowing its administrators to select the projects for which co-funding is most appropriate.  Tax advantages are available to both individuals and companies; or
    • support a specific project that attracts you.  Every year, GERES undertakes many activities, most of which form part of multi-year development programmes.

  • Sponsorship in kind
You can make material resources available for allocation to a project developed by GERES.

  • Skill sponsorship
You can make volunteer employees available without charge during their working hours, for example to train people.
If your company makes an employee available for five days and that person's gross salary plus social security charges has an estimated value of €1000, it can reduce its tax by €600 (up to the annual limit of 0.5% of turnover excluding tax).

  • Media sponsorship
As a media sponsor, you make promotional space available free or at a preferential rate.

Your carbon offset operation

Taking account of the impact of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions on the climate is becoming a key element of corporate environmental strategies.  Implementing measures to reduce your GHG emissions at source must therefore be a priority.
In pursuing your efforts in favour of the climate, you can offset residual emissions by co-funding a development project implemented by GERES and its local partners in the South.  Your contribution is a strong commitment towards a coherent approach in favour of sustainable, responsible development.  In the eyes of the consumer, corporate environmental behaviour is a token of quality in the same way as the products or services companies offer.  Increasingly, consumers want to combine the act of purchase with social awareness so that consumption and fairness go hand in hand.

Solidarity at the heart of your corporate strategy

Supporting a low CO2 solidarity project means adding an element of differentiation to your corporate strategy so as to establish a special relationship with your customers.
The CO2 Solidarity quality seal guarantees an environmentally friendly approach helping disadvantaged communities in the South, the first to feel the effects of climate change.  The CO2 Solidarity approach goes beyond the environmental dimension of carbon offsetting.
Apart from offsetting your GHG emissions, you will be taking an active part in projects for local communities, significantly improving their living conditions and reducing their vulnerability to the consequences of climate change.  The CO2 Solidarity programme involves no intermediaries and guarantees the monitoring and transparency of all projects.  Each offset is a gift to charitable works and partly tax deductible.
