Dissemination of passive solar techniques

In Afghanistan, energy is one of the biggest concern. Thousands of houses, buildings (health, education, housing sector) need to be renovated or built. By applying principles of the passive solar architecture and energy efficiency, GERES ' projects significantly reduce at affordable prices, energetic needs for the heating of buildings in the coolest regions. More than a half of the Afghan population live in those isolated mountains. Since 2003, GERES managed a programme to give an anwer to the energy and environmental oriented issues, in the context of rebuilding the country.
