In order to reach the European energy objectives (reduce primary energy consumption by 20% for 2020), local authorities have implemented various projects and local actions plans (such as energy renovation programs, awareness raising on eco-habitat, local and renewable energy production projects, etc.).
This transition is linked with the local actors’ mobilization (citizens, consumers, professionals, institutions…), and it is the communities’ responsability to involve them in order to build viable and sustainable projects.
This is why, as part of the European Sustainable Energy Week, GERES is inviting local and territorial communities from the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region, as well as any project leader to share their mobilization strategies and exchange on the reality they are facing during a day of discussions.
This day will be split in two parts: the morning will be the time to present local actors’ mobilization for local energy-climate policies. The afternoon will then be dedicated to exchanges & discussions and communities will have the possibility to present initiatives implemented in their areas.
Tuesday, June 24th 2014 from 9:30am to 5:30pm | Marseille | “Centre le Mistral”
