It sought to identify the potential risks and recommend tools and strategies to mitigate those risks.<\/p>\n<p>55 businesses were studied and 102 interviews were conducted with rural SMEs.<\/p>\n<h3>Main results<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Full analysis of three potential off-grid projects requiring energy investment: solar refrigeration, solar pumping for agriculture and a solar mill.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The business plans for these three activities specify the main economic trends, the critical and variable data for each activity and the finance options if credit is needed.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Practical tools to be used for replication.
