Intervention strategies to remove barriers to women’s entrepreneurship
The study was conducted in two different phases. The first phase consisted of quantitative interviews with the sixteen women entrepreneurs involved in the REACH energy solutions dissemination project. These surveys were conducted by the Geres team and analyzed by the consulting team.
A second round of in-depth interviews was conducted with Geres staff, NGOs, and civil society representatives to expand on the preliminary findings.
In a third step, to corroborate the results and use them for strategic planning, a two-day workshop was held (the first day with the Geres team and the second with the women entrepreneurs). Participatory tools were used to encourage the entrepreneurs and the Geres team to brainstorm and express their thoughts, discuss the results and formulate recommendations.
